Please note that our leader boards are based on the information we have compiled from various newspapers throughout the state. They are based on performance. This means that the players with the biggest numbers may not necessarily have turned in the best performances this year.

For example:

A QB who has thrown for over a thousand yards early in the season may not necessarily appear on the pages. This may happen because that player may have thrown several interceptions early in the season, and thus would not qualify as having turned in a favorable statistical performance. Likewise, a RB may have over 1000 yards, however if he has rushed the ball 250 times this would probably not be considered a noteworthy performance. Our website tries to highlight those players who have turned in a special performance when given the opportunity.

You will be surprised to see that several of the up and coming prep stars and preseason all state picks are NOT on the statistical leaders board. This often happens due to the fact that several of the preseason all state picks are going head to head in non district play against some of the best teams in the state to get ready for district play.
